Looking...

this morning.

...for signs of fall this morning.  This far south we don't have the beautiful, showy display of foliage like those to the north of us do, so we have to look a little more closely to see fall's arrival.

this morning.

This morning's much cooler temperatures made me actually feel like staying outside for a while to see what I could see.  I love the tiny bits of red I found.  We don't get so many red, orange, and gold colors.  We mostly have a quick shift from green to brown with very little in-between.

this morning.

However, fall's golden morning light makes even the dead brown leaves look beautiful.

this morning.

Happy Wednesday!

subtle and lovely. i noticed yesterday that the cypress trees are looking more brown than green...waiting for autumn to arrive oh so impatiently.

oh beautiful! we dont really get the beautiful showy display of autumn here either ... its way too windy, first sign of autumn and the leaves just blow right off! hehe
